Smart Link Medical Alarm for Pensioners

Protect your Parents, Protect Yourself with this Personal Safety Medical Alarm System fully subsidised from the South Australian Government (once approved) as part of its Pensioners Personal Medical Alarm Rebate Scheme.

A personal alert system is a device that enables people to call for help in an emergency if they are unable to access or use a telephone.

In an EMERGENCY SITUATION (like in the event of a fall in the home or the early onset of a a heart-attack) simply PUSH the Medical PENDANT and the CONTROL STATION would contact you and attend to your emergency, if there is no response from you the control station will immediately notify the AMBULANCE and the Ambulance will be sent directly to your premises and after that the control room will inform your family members of the event!

This system is a MUST - the SOUTH AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT has subsidised the cost of the system and the ongoing monitoring costs so there is no cost to you once approved!

ACTIVE WATCH is an APPROVED South Australian Government Supplier and installer of the system and OUR Smart-Link System is MADE IN AUSTRALIA.

This system is monitored by a control station 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week/ 365 days a year!  So what this means for you is that a person in the control room is constantly monitoring your system and if there is an emergency they are on hand to send an AMBULANCE TO YOUR HOUSE when you need it most!!


This scheme provides a rebate of:

  • up to $380 for approved applicants for the purchase an installation of approved monitored systems and autodiallers
  • up to $250 per year for approved applicants for monitoring services for approved monitored systems.


To be eligible for a personal alert system rebate you must meet all these conditions:

  • be aged 75 years or older (people of Aboriginal descent must be 65 years or older)
  • have a Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or a Department of Veterans' Affairs Pensioner Concession Card
  • be a permanent resident of South Australia
